gupnp-tools software package provides tools for testing UPnP devices and control points, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gupnp-tools
gupnp-tools is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gupnp-tools package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gupnp-tools *
You will get with gupnp-tools package name, version, architecture and description in a table
